Roll-on Starpilwax

There has been a lot of curiosity about using roll-on wax in a personal or professional setting. Starpil Roll-On Wax is a convenient waxing method. It reduces mess, cross-contamination, and the need for spatulas or additional professional wax warmers. This press-roll-remove system has a lot going for it, and we're going to tell you all about it. In this complete guide to roll-on waxing, we'll discuss everything from roll-on wax warmers, roll-on wax cartridges, and the most effective way to use them.

What is Roll-On Wax?

Starpil Roll-On Wax is Starpil Soft Wax pre-filled into a 3.9 oz (110 g), portable, easy-to-use, and fully-recyclable, roll-on wax cartridge. The cartridge itself is made out of a hard-plastic, heat-mediating shell, topped with a roller head and cap (which is great for at-home users to keep their wax hygienic for multiple uses). The roller head distributes wax evenly over any surface.

What and Who is Roll-On Wax Best for?

Roll-on wax is excellent for any body-wax kit and all hair types. Perfect for flatter and larger surfaces, roll it over legs, arms, back, and chest for an evenly distributed application. It even works great on the bikini line. Since our roll-on cartridges are filled with soft strip wax, they work to exfoliate the skin and get down to the finest, hard-to-reach hairs. Our Starpil Soft Wax has no setting time, so you can lay down multiple strips of wax at once before removal and you can keep up with that speed-wax status—this system can increase your speed by up to 50%! For home users, waxing your own lower legs can take about 15 minutes with our roll-on system. Also, our soft strip wax is exceptionally malleable and can cover a lot of ground without cracking.

The roll-on method is an ultra-hygienic, disposable, and more straightforward application method that eliminates dripping and unnecessary stickiness. The roll-on system requires little maintenance and is made to be ready for immediate use. We sell each of our roll-on wax formulas in 10 or 20-count complete roll-on starter kits as well as in 20-count boxes in two, four, and six-box increments that can be used as backbar or retailed.

Warming-Up Your Roll-On Wax Cartridge

Roll-on Starpil wax

Starpil Roll-On Wax was invented and patented by us in 1991. Not long after that, we developed our Starpil Roll-On Wax Warmer to heat our roll-on wax to the perfect temperature, to give new meaning to the term professional wax warmer. Our roll-on wax warmer is lined with metal sheets that evenly conduct heat throughout the wax. Its opening allows you to effortlessly slip in the wax cartridge before plugging it in. In 20-minutes, your wax is heated to the perfect temperature. After you've prepped the skin and are ready to wax, simply un-plug the warmer, remove the seal on the roll-on wax cartridge, and ready your roller by rolling some of the wax onto a non-woven strip to start the flow. At this time, you can ensure that the wax is at a comfortable temperature to begin your service. Using the Starpil Roll-On Wax Warmer is the only way to warm your wax cartridge to get the best consistency and control over your waxing session.

Keep in mind that our roll-on wax warmer also comes in a dual base as well as a triple-base system so that you can have more than one cartridge heating at once for full-body waxing, multiple technicians, or to take on back-to-back waxing clients without the warm-up time.

Using Your Starpil Roll-On Wax

Just like you would do before any waxing method, prep the skin by cleaning and disinfecting it to remove any excess skin oil or debris so that the wax will adhere to the skin as evenly as possible. If your client perspires, some estheticians like to use the age-old trick of using powder to help absorb some of the excess moisture prior to waxing. Since our roll-on wax warmer is specifically designed for our wax cartridges, your wax should be at the perfect temperature and ready to go. Make sure that you have your removal strips pre-cut and ready to roll for the service you are performing.

To apply the soft strip wax, hold the system at a 45° angle, and gently press on a thin layer of wax in about a foot-long single-swipe strip on larger areas. Do your strip in one cohesive movement for an even application. You can apply approximately three strips at a time. Press and gently rub on your muslin strip in the direction of hair growth, hold the skin taut, and remove the strip in a quick motion in the opposite direction of hair growth. Using flat palms, apply firm pressure against the freshly removed strip to ease nerve endings and alleviate potential pain. Avoid re-applying wax over the same areas, and use tweezers to remove any missed hairs.

Never forget your post-wax care to clean up any residue, minimize irritation, and inhibit re-growth for longer-lasting results.
